Telecounselor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote counseling sessions with students, clients, or patients via phone, video conferencing, or online chat
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide crisis intervention, support, and guidance to clients in need
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of counseling sessions and client progress
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, or support staff as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in telecounseling


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Licensure or certification in counseling or a related field (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • Experience in counseling, preferably in a telecounseling setting
  • Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and telecounseling platforms
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in video conferencing software and online chat platforms
