Research Details:
Worked on development of sensor based cooling system to minimise heat stress in pigs
About:
Completed MVSc with a focus on evaluating the effect of body condition parameters during late gestation and lactation on sow and litter performance in pigs, with special emphasis on using ultrasonography for accurate backfat thickness estimation. For PhD, developed a sensor-based cooling system to minimize heat stress in pigs, integrating precision livestock farming tools to improve animal welfare and productivity. Research experience spans experimental design, physiological and production data analysis, technology application in livestock systems, and scientific reporting. These works strengthened expertise in swine production, reproductive performance assessment, and innovative stress-mitigation technologies.
